With the signing of aging pitcher JOHN SMOLTZ and spavined hitter/outfielder ROCCO BALDELLI really help REDSOX NATION??? Does SMOLTZIE have anything left in his oft-injured arm as a reliever or as a starter??? YES HE WAS IMPRESSIVE WHEN HE WAS YOUNGER AND COULD THROW THE BALL LIKE A BEEBEE - BUT IS HE WHAT THE REDSOX NEED TO GO ALONG WITH AN 'AGING' STAFF WITH TIM WAKEFIELD AND INJURED CURT SCHILLING??? As for ROCCO BALDELLI - who will be the DH the ponderously slow 'BIG PAPI' or the basically immobile BALDELLI??? BEISBOL - ALWAYS QUESTIONS ABOUT THE SEASON TO COME.
