What's with the REDSOX and JASON VARITEK???

REDSOX NATION have given their catcher and captain until this weekend to accept a one year deal or its adios to JASON VARITEK!!! WHAT??? JASON VARITEK reduced to just another player after handling the BOSOX pitchers so well for so many years???
