review: BLACKBIRD SINGING by PAUL McCARTNEY

This 185 page book collection of poems and lyrics 1965-1999 by Sir PAUL McCARTNEY contains many of the songs/lyrics of music made famous by his first band 'The Beatles'. It is dedicated to PAUL's first wife LINDA EASTMAN.[Having met PAUL, LINDA, and her sister LOUISE on Agassiz St. in Cambridge, Ma. this volume has special remembrances for me.] While this is not a volume of poetry per say - many of these song lyrics such as 'When I'm Sixty-Four' or 'Back In The USSR' or any of your favorites; will undoubtedly evoke special memories and poetic life associations. edited by ADRIAN MITCHELL, published by W.W.NORTON & COMPANY collection copyright 2001
