review - FROM DEAD TO WORSE by Charlaine Harris

The 9th novel in the Sookie Stackhouse genre made 'famous' by HBO's serial production TRUEBLOOD - this 359 pp. tome by Ace Books of NY rolls along at a brisk clip with characters such as WERES=werewolves, VAMPIRES warring 'clans' among themselves from places such as Louisianna and Las Vegas, SHAPE-SHIFTERS, FAERIES(no not the kind like REPREHENSIBLE BARNEY FRANK or unctious political pundit in his own mind ANDREW SULLIVAN who if you played with their schmeckles would grace you with globs-n-globs) and other exotic/erotic creatures of which SOOKIE is part herself. This story does not adhere to the HBO version as SOOKIE has taken up with the SHERIFF of area 5, ERIC, and Miss STACKHOUSE does get around. It is also nice to know that 'ELVIS' is still alive and WICCANS and 'magic' still abound in HARRIS' version of the centre of all exotic/erotic weirdness - BON TEMPS LOUISIANNA.
