SAVING GRACE - the 'absurdist' philosophy of ALBERT CAMUS???

Now before i get deluged with 'EXISTENTIAL WARRIORS' harping about CAMUS 'nihilistic outlook' on society in say books like L'ETRANGER and others allow me to offer up the following scenario for SAVING GRACE the HOLLY HUNTER series on TBS recounting the 'adventures' of OKLAHOMA DETECTIVE GRACE HANADARCO. In this show GRACE is obcessed/plagued with an angel EARL - who is aware of her and all others human failings. GRACE is a 'lapsed' CATHOLIC - a brother of hers is a priest - another is a fireman - while GRACE is plagued with memories of her dead sister who perished in the MURA FEDERAL BUILDING bombing wuth so many others because GRACE was too drunk to baby-sit for her that day --- shades of 'MERSEAULT' blaming/not blaming himself for 'MAMANS' death in L'ETRANGER perhaps??? Is G-D dead to GRACE because she had been sexually abused with so many others at the parochial school she attended as a girl by a pedophile priest??? WHO KNOWS??? Does the angel EARL??? GRACE makes her way through the world breaking/trampling a large portion of G-D's commandments; drinking to excess, various forms of sexual congress with all ages of men - married or not - coworkers or not(sure to be a 'sapphic dalliance' in a future episode), lies constantly, drives her own Porsche 911 in violation of the accepted speed/driving/cleanliness laws candy-wrappers junk food containers all over the interior, likes pork rinds beer + shooters, and is not above lying to her mother, relatives, about her deceased father or the aspects of her life. To put it quite succinctly SAVING GRACE is a well written thought provoking show that leaves you like the 'ending' in CAMUS L'ETRANGER --- wondering. GRACE HANADARCO -the perfect nihilist with a soul and duity as a 'cop' to be our guide through life's vaguearies. CATCH IT ON THE TUBE ON MONDAY NIGHTS.
