SUPREME COURT 'rules' against 'race' being determining factor in schools!!!
In one of the most important ruling of this term, the SUPREME COURT ruled 5-4 that 'RACE' should not be the determining factor in school apportionment. The majority opinion given by CHIEF JUSTICE ROBERTS firmly bars school districts from allocating 'racial references' as regards class assignments and scheduling. Are we back to the concept of 'seperate but equal' as in PLESSY v. FERGUSON from the early beginnings of 1900 and unabashedly ssetting limits on the sweeping ruling of BROWN v. BOARD of EDUCATION in the 1950's???
